Our coaching staff and trainers are all experienced individuals with extensive backgrounds in personalized instruction and coaching.
Cam Smith - csmith@psmfootball.com
Coach Smith was a 4-year starter at USF (2002-2005) as a kicker/punter. He also saw time at quarterback during the seasons of 2003-2004 as a backup and made the most of his opportunities by maintaining the highest passer rating in the MSFA during the 2003 season. Smith was a part of 5 undefeated conference championship teams and 3 national championship runner-up seasons by the time he left USF. In 2005 he received All-American honors, was the Silver Helmet Award winner and NAIA Champions of Character award recipient. Smith also played 5 seasons of arena/indoor football as a quarterback and kicker, following his colligate career in the UIF, CIFL and NIFL.
Smith was formerly a quarterback coach and passing game coordinator at the H.S. level, prior to rejoining the USF coaching staff in 2023. He has also done private instruction for quarterbacks, kickers, and punters at all age levels at various points of his career since 2006.
In addition to coaching, Cam has been heavily involved in community development projects here in Fort Wayne, which include co-founding Smith Academy for Excellence with his dad and brother in 2012.
Kenny Mullen -
Kenny Mullen (Coach Kenny) is a native of Fort Wayne, IN. He attended Bishop Luers High school where he was a 4 year letterman in both football and basketball. Coach Kenny graduated in 2011. Following high school, he furthered his academic and playing career at Indiana University where he was a 4 year letterman in football. Coach Kenny graduated from IU in 2015 with a psychology degree. Kenny has been a sports performance trainer since 2016, and has found over the years that he is very passionate about helping youth reach their goals both physically and mentally. Coach Kenny is extremely excited and grateful to be joining the PSM football team and hopes to make an impact on the youth of today and the future!
Kendrick Mullen - kmullin@psmfootball.com
Coach Kendrick Mullen was a three year starter at Bishop Luers High School as a Defensive Back. As a member of the Luers football program, he was a part of 4 straight State Championships from 2009-2012, including an undefeated season (15-0) and Summit Athletic Conference Title in 2011. He finished his career at Bishop Luers second all-time in Career Interceptions with 14 and led the team in interceptions two out of his three years as a starter. Kendrick’s senior year he was awarded as the Co-Defensive Most Valuable Player on the team. He was also awarded First Team All-Conference and First Team All-Area two consecutive years in 2011 and 2012.
Following his career at Bishop Luers, Kendrick joined the Ball State Football team as a Preferred Walk-On. He started his playing career as a Slot Receiver, and after his first full season his position was changed to Cornerback. During his time as a Cornerback he embraced many challenges but was able to make the two-deep roster and travel squad as a backup Cornerback and Punt Pressure Gunner. At the conclusion of his final season in 2015, he decided his playing career had come to an end and to shift his focus to coaching.
Coach Mullen’s coaching career began at his Alma Mater, Bishop Luers in 2016 where he was named the Defensive Backs coach. He spent four years coaching Defensive Backs (2016-2019) winning back-to-back Sectional Titles in 2017-2018 and a Regional Title in 2018. Following the 2019 campaign at Luers, he was promoted to Co-Defensive Coordinator and Safeties coach. During his lone season as Co-Defensive Coordinator the Knights finished the season as the Class 2A State Runner-Ups.
After five years at his Alma Mater he took a year off and joined as a contributor and writer for Outside The Huddle where he appeared weekly in his segment “Mullen MoMo”. It didn’t take long for Coach Mullen to get his itch to get back on the sidelines as he was named the Defensive Coordinator at New Haven High School for the 2022-23 seasons. The 2023 Bulldogs were crowned as the Co-Conference Champions in the Northeast Eight Conference, going 8-2. Following the 2023 season he accepted a job coaching Linebackers at the University of Saint Francis, where he is now entering into his first season in the role.

Introduction: Brandon “Coach B” Davis is a highly regarded football trainer and coach known for his strategic prowess and dedication to player development. With over a decade of experience in coaching, Coach B has made significant contributions to the sport at various levels.
Early Life and Background: Born and raised in the Summit City, Coach B’s passion for football ignited at a young age. He was a starter at Bishop Luers High School as a freshman, winning his first Championship title as a Sophomore. Junior and Senior he received MVP as the team captain and received 1st Team All-Conference. In addition, Coach B had a 99 yard record breaking reception touchdown. Growing up in a football-centric community, he locked in his skills both as a player and a budding coach, driven by a desire to understand the game deeply. After high school he attended Findlay University and later Trine University where he gained collegiate experience.
Career Journey: Coach B’s coaching journey began in 2008-2009 at Prince Chapman, where he lead his team to a City Championship. From there, his passion for youth football in his community continued to ignite. Offensive Coordinator for Police Athletic League (PAL) Champions from 2010-2012; Northrop HS 2013-2014 WR coach; Bishop Luers HS 2016-2019 Varsity WR coach and Freshmen head coach winning Regional Championship; Wayne HS 2020-2022 Head WR Varsity coach and Freshmen Offensive Coordinator.
Known for his emphasis on teamwork, discipline, and strategic flexibility, Coach B’s coaching philosophy revolves around creating a cohesive unit that adapts to different game situations. He believes in nurturing individual talent while fostering a strong team spirit essential for success on and off the pitch.
Throughout his career, Coach B has coached teams to multiple league championships and victories. His ability to identify and develop young talent has been instrumental in shaping promising football careers. Beyond trophies, Coach B is respected for instilling a sense of sportsmanship and resilience in his players, preparing them for the challenges of competitive football.
A dedicated professional, Coach B is known for his meticulous planning and unwavering commitment to his players' growth. His approachable demeanor and strong leadership qualities inspire trust and respect among his coaching staff and players alike.
With his new role at PSM, Coach B aspires to further elevate his coaching career by exploring opportunities to coach at the professional level, aiming to make a lasting impact on the sport he loves.
